International Day of Forests – March 21, 2026 🌲
🌲 Dear nature lovers, join the celebration of the International Day of Forests 🌲
On March 21, 2026, we celebrate the International Day of Forests. On this occasion, the Forest Therapy Associationtraditionally organizes guided forest bathing events throughout Slovenia, where we will explore together how the forest can support our health, well-being, and inner peace.
You are warmly invited to take some time for yourself, slow down, and listen to nature. The forest always welcomes us – all we need to do is step into it. 🌿🌲
The theme for 2026 is “Forests and the Economy.” Forests are important not only for nature, but also for people and economic development. 🌲
Forests provide wood, food, medicines, and many other natural resources. Many people around the world are employed in forestry, the wood industry, and tourism connected to forests.
With responsible and sustainable management, forests can help create jobs, improve people’s lives, and at the same time protect nature. 🌲
That is why it is important to protect, restore, and use forests sustainably. Only in this way can they continue to benefit future generations. 🌲

JOIN US ON FOREST THERAPY WALK
Why on Forest Therapy walk?
-Nature relaxes and soothes our nervous system, which is burdened by daily stimuli, routines, and stress. 🌿
-Sensory connection with nature slows us down, reveals its beauty, and fills us with moments of peace. 🌲
-Forest bathing has numerous benefits for mental and physical health – it has been proven to reduce stress, improve sleep and mood, and strengthen the immune system.
The International Day of Forests is a global initiative that invites us to pause for a moment, connect with nature, and experience the healing effects it offers at every turn. On this special day, guided forest bathing sessions will take place at various locations around the world—and, of course, in Slovenia as well! 🌲
